The real cost of keeping databases healthy.
Most teams pay for dashboards and alerts and still need an engineer to investigate.
Monitoring tools
$70+ /cluster /mo
Dashboards and alerts. No autonomous investigation or optimization. Still requires human triage.
Senior DBA (fully loaded)
$160K+ /yr
One person covering 50 to 200 databases with on-call burden and single point of failure.
Incident tooling
$10K+ /yr
On-call routing, incident response, post-mortems. Still requires a human to triage every database event.
DBGorilla
from $35 /cluster /mo
Autonomous monitoring across every host and database in a cluster: EXPLAIN analysis, regression detection, index simulation, and Cornelius investigations. Less than standard monitoring tools, and the agent does the work.
Everything side by side
Most teams pay for dashboards and alerts and still need an engineer to investigate every incident.

Add credits when you need more.
Bigger packs always cost less per credit. Auto-reload is on by default at the smallest pack level. Pack prices are never discounted.
| Credits | Price | Per 1,000 GC |
|---|---|---|
| 500 GC | $20 | $40.00 |
| 1,350 GC | $50 | $37.04 |
| 2,900 GC | $100 | $34.48 |

| 17,000 GC | $500 | $29.41 |
| 37,000 GC | $1,000 | $27.03 |
Bigger packs always give the best per-credit value. Auto-reload is on by default so the agent never stops for credits. You choose when it kicks in.

How does the Gorilla Credit system work?
Every plan includes a monthly pool of Gorilla Credits. Credits power every AI action the agent takes: EXPLAIN analysis, investigations, index simulations, schema lints, migration checks, and chat turns. When your monthly pool runs low, top up with a credit pack. The monthly pool refreshes each month and does not carry forward; purchased credit packs roll over for 12 months. How many credits does a typical team use?
A typical Business team uses roughly 400 to 800 GC/month. Your dashboard shows projected month-end consumption from day three, so you'll never be surprised. Business includes 8,000 GC/month and most teams use a fraction of that. What counts as a cluster?
A cluster is one writer plus up to 9 read replicas, holding up to 100 databases. A typical setup is one RDS primary with a few Aurora read replicas: that counts as one cluster. Each independently managed replication group counts as a separate cluster. On the Free tier, clusters are limited to a single host (writer only, no replicas). Are there any per-seat or per-host charges?
No. DBGorilla pricing scales on monitored clusters, credits, and metrics retention, not seats or individual hosts. Each cluster covers the writer and all its read replicas (up to 10 hosts, up to 100 databases). Business and Enterprise plans include unlimited team members. What happens if I run out of credits?
Auto-reload kicks in by default at the smallest pack level before your balance runs dry. You can change the threshold or turn it off. With auto-reload off, the agent pauses credit-consuming actions when your balance reaches zero. Purchased credit packs roll over for 12 months; your monthly plan allowance refreshes each month rather than accumulating. How does annual billing work?
Pay annually and save 30% on Pro and Business, bringing your effective per-cluster rate to $35/month. Pro annual is $420/yr (vs $600 monthly). Business annual is $1,260/yr (vs $1,800 monthly). Multi-year discounts available at Enterprise. What's in Business that isn't in Pro?
Business adds RBAC, SSO (OIDC/SAML), audit log export, bring-your-own cloud, 180-day retention (vs 30), 25 full DB clones/mo (vs 5), and 8,000 GC/mo (vs 2,000). Support upgrades to Email + Slack with a 24h SLA.Can I try DBGorilla before I pay?
Yes. Every new account gets 30 days of Pro features free, no credit card required. Reverts to Free at day 30 unless you upgrade. The Free tier is permanently free with 1 single-host cluster, 50 GC/month, and the EXPLAIN analyzer.Where does my data go? Does DBGorilla connect directly?
No direct connection. DBGorilla never holds a credential. The dbg-customer-otel-collector runs inside your perimeter and pushes telemetry via OTLP. Two-way actions run as signed jobs pulled by the collector; the result ships back over OTLP. Your data never leaves your network in a form you haven't configured. Is the Free tier just a trial?
No. Free is free forever, not a time-limited trial: you can run a single-host cluster on Free for as long as you like. Separately, every new account gets a 30-day Pro trial to evaluate the paid features; when it ends you simply stay on Free unless you upgrade.
Give DBGorilla 24 hours with your database.
Connect the collector and run it free for 30 days. No credit card, no contract. Most teams find their first win in the first day or two.
